First, you will come into our office for a consultation. Your surgeon will evaluate your condition, take https://azoms.com/3d-scanning/ of your mouth, and determine if full-arch restoration is right for you.

We plan the details of your surgery beforehand, so your surgeon knows the exact location and angle to place each implant for optimal results. Most patients undergo IV sedation for this procedure, but we will discuss all of your options for anesthesia or sedation.

We will administer your anesthesia, and your surgeon will place the dental implants according to your surgical plan. The surgical procedure will last between 1 and 4 hours. We will place and fix a temporary prosthesis to the implants, but sometimes you'll need a temporary removable denture while your implants heal. In both instances, you will leave the office with a new smile.

After the procedure, you will rest until the anesthesia wears off, and your designated driver will take you home. If you underwent IV sedation, your driver should monitor you for 24 hours.

Eat a soft diet as directed by your surgeon until your surgical sites heal, and follow your post-operative instructions.

If your final prosthesis was not placed during the surgical visit, you will return after a few weeks to have it attached. It will take a few months for the implant posts to fully fuse with the jawbone. Once healed, you can eat your favorite foods again with the convenience and durability of a secure, healthy set of teeth.

If you are healthy enough to undergo outpatient dental procedures and have enough jaw bone to support dental implants, you are likely a candidate for full-arch restoration.

Patients with periodontal disease, a suppressed immune system, or those taking certain medications may not qualify for implant placement.

If you lack sufficient jaw bone, our surgeons can use bone grafting techniques to restore lost bone. Once the grafts heal, you can receive dental implants. During your consultation, your surgeon will evaluate your oral health and let you know if full-arch restoration is right for you.
