Dr. Justin Dale Orton was born in Columbia, South Carolina and grew up between Sandy, Utah, and Lakeland, Florida. While studying at Brigham Young University, Dr. Orton met his wife, Lauren, and they both completed their undergraduate degrees at BYU. Seeking new horizons and professional growth, they ventured to Las Vegas, where Dr. Orton's passion for oral surgery ignited. It was there that he discovered his true calling, realizing that he wanted to dedicate his life to this transformative field.
In 2019, Dr. Orton proudly graduated from dental school, equipped with a solid foundation in dentistry. His exceptional skills and unwavering commitment earned him a coveted acceptance into the esteemed University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program. Renowned as one of the nation's leading centers for facial trauma, this rigorous four-year program provided Dr. Orton with invaluable experiences, from handling complex trauma cases to mastering intricate orthognathic surgeries and pathology treatments. Graduating from residency in 2023, he and his wife, along with their three young daughters, are thrilled to be back in the captivating western region of the U.S., where they can share their love of adventure in desert together.
Beyond the realm of oral surgery, Dr. Orton finds joy in the great outdoors. You can often find him exploring hiking trails, running, participating in water sports, or spending time at the zoo, beach, or park with his family. As an ardent supporter of the BYU Cougars, he is a spirited fan who loves cheering on his favorite team.
Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Orton has amassed numerous accolades and achievements. As a testament to his dedication and character, he achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout as a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, his commitment to excellence led to a nomination for the Award of Excellence in the Omega Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He also served a two-year church mission in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he acquired fluency in Spanish.
